Due to recent political events in the United States — which have caused an even deeper divide among the populace — many globally recognized brands have begun to distance themselves from certain elected officials. As a result, brands will be likely to increase their advertising and messaging around democracy, unity, peace, and justice. And not just brands – filmmakers and documentarians will be looking for content on this topic as well, especially those cleared for commercial use and looking natural, not ‘stocky‘.
PRO TIP
Firstly, always keep in mind that naturally-looking content cleared for commercial use is much more attractive for our buyers than overly “stocky” clips, especially for filmmakers who want to mix their own footage with media from our database. Secondly, clips cleared for commercial use should never contain any logos or 3rd party intellectual property, unless you get a property release from the owner and any recognizable person in the clip should sign a model release. Moreover, we highly recommend considering diverse actors or models of all ages, ethnicities, races, religions, genders or sexual orientations. We’re seeing more and more requests about lines or queues of people waiting, but with masks on, and cleared for commercial use. Where the people are in line is not important, but your focus should be put on the actual length of the line and the fact that people are masked.
